Philosophy of Care

Dr. Gutierrez values medical education, cultural competency, improving access to healthcare for everyone, and increasing health literacy for all patients. He hopes to continue to provide the best compassionate care for all his patients regardless of their socioeconomic status, language barriers, health insurance status, or education level in order for everyone to maintain a healthy well-being. 

Clinical Interests

Dr. Gutierrez is an internal medicine physician who provides care to adult hospitalized patients. He is interested in bridging the gap between medicine, clinical work, medical education, and a patient's understanding of their disease process. Whether is is drawing anatomy diagrams for patients, families, or students, describing pathophsiology is lay person's terms, or bedside teaching, Dr. Gutierrez hopes to provide medical education that is accessible for everyone.
