The cafeteria's soy chorizo! Well, not entirely... lifestyle considerations aside, I imagine myself training somewhere that is not only well-equipped with unique resources and opportunities to prepare me for fellowship and beyond, but also exemplifies how an institution and residency program ought to value and prioritize (1) the well-being of its residents, (2) the importance and upheld accountability of DEI initiatives, and (3) the continuous need for program improvement alongside the ongoing evolution of US healthcare. Among my options of programs, I perceived the one with the most well-balanced embodiment of these core values to be UC Davis.
