The UCDH Staff Assembly Executive Committee is nominated and elected by UCDH staff members to further the objectives of Staff Assembly, make decisions on behalf of the organization, and ensure these decisions are carried out. Executive Committee members will spend two-year terms directing the various activities of Staff Assembly, representing staff interests with administration, and advancing initiatives that improve the staff experience on our campus. In addition to their assigned duties governed by the Staff Assembly Bylaws, the Executive Committee supports each other’s work through collaboration and teamwork.

The goal of Staff Assembly is to promote and advocate for the welfare, interests, and diversity of the staff, the Health campus and the University of California following the Principles of Community. A few examples of events Staff Assembly leads are Breakfast with the Chancellor, Gifts from the Heart, and Thank Goodness for Staff. This is a great opportunity to get involved in staff-focused leadership and engagement. We are currently looking for nominations for all open chair-elect positions. These positions are intended to serve as support roles to chair to ensure one year of training and learning under the mentorship of senior executive committee members before moving into one year in the respective chair role.

 

More about the Nomination Process:

All UCDH staff in good standing and with supervisor support are eligible to serve on the Staff Assembly Executive Committee. Nominations, including self-nominations, can be made by active members of the Staff Assembly. “Active” membership status is applied to staff who have opted in to this listserv.

 

All nominees will be contacted to confirm if they are interested in running for the position(s) for which they have been nominated and that their supervisor supports the potential commitment. Candidates will be asked to provide a short statement on why they are interested in the respective position on Staff Assembly. These will be included in ballot for the standing EC to elect the new Executive Committee members.

 

Timeline:

  • Nomination Period Opens

  • Nomination Period Closes 
  • Voting Takes Place 
  • Election Results Published 
  • New Term Begins
