We work to equip future health professionals with the knowledge to promote well-being alongside disease treatment.
Expanding healthcare to include prevention, well-care, and well-being.

At the Office of Wellness Education (OWE), we believe that healthcare must balance excellent disease response with support for well-being and resilience.
We aim to expand healthcare in the United States from its current state as a disease response system to a well-care system that also promotes well-being and resilience. To accomplish this, we are working toward a future where healthcare professionals are trained to support the whole person before disease occurs. We believe that all healthcare providers should understand well-being as well as disease, understand how to assess resilience as well as illness, and be able to provide guidance in leading a healthy, resilient life.

Our work incorporates professional education, research, and advocacy to address systemic gaps in current healthcare education and practice.
Our approach includes:
We work to equip future health professionals with the knowledge to promote well-being alongside disease treatment.
We aim to expand the scope of healthcare through foundational changes to clinical training and practice.
We empower individuals and communities to make informed health decisions by providing connection to credible, accessible information.
